On May 19, 2016, TCL, the Chinese company's largest exporter of color TV sets in Egypt, and Egypt’s largest home appliance company ELARABY signed a memorandum in Shenzhen. The two parties announced that they would establish a LCD color TV factory in Egypt. The largest color TV factory is based in Egypt, and its products radiate the entire African and Middle Eastern markets. This move marks that multinational giant TCL has started a new round of international expansion with the help of the national "One Belt One Road" strategy, and opened a new prelude to its overseas deepening.

The establishment of a joint venture factory for LCD color TVs in Egypt will form market radiation in the Middle East and Africa, and play an important role for TCL to obtain stable orders and space for sustainable development. This is also an important development of TCL Group's internationalization strategy.
